Life at Home
I expected to come home and have a nice relaxing time. It’s been rather busy as I’m constantly on the go here. My flight was delayed by two hours so I arrived late Tuesday night. Woke up early Wednesday morning to go to Connecticut to visit my cousin and her 3 boys. We came back and I went to the new Sonics with my friends. We waited an hour for them to bring us an incomplete order. It was pretty disappointing given I can go to a Sonic whenever in Champaign. We then went bowling and I bowled a 152 average over 4 games with 2 Turkeys.
Thursday I took a friend around to run some errands and we grabbed lunch at Red Robin. I think the Strawberry Limeades at Sonic are superior to the Freckled Lemonades at Red Robin though Red Robin wins the better burgers. I went home and proceeded to pass out from food coma. After my mom didn’t wake me up, I cut my hair, had dinner w/ my sister and family and headed out with my friends to one of their houses to play some Singstar which I did much better than any other singing game I’ve played (I usually suck horribly at them).
Friday I went over to Julia’s and we took Noah to the park for him to play. I got to talk with Julia and we talked about the usual – life and girls. I also got to see their new baby Karissa who’s so cute. I always love seeing them when I come back to visit. Then I went to Gene’s where we drafted some MTG, grilled, ate, watch Transformers 1, grilled, ate, and just chilled playing other card games and iphone games.
Today I went with my dad to the Yankees vs. Blue Jays game. We got their early and walked around the new spacious park. I got to see the Monument Park for the first time though I’ve been to the old stadium numerous times. We got to enjoy some 3rd tier baseball action since my dad got screwed out of his ledger box tickets from last year. The Yanks won a comeback victory in the 12th inning so that’s always fun. Gonna head out to my friends in a bit, maybe see some fireworks.
Tomorrow I’ll go to church, have lunch w/ my friends, probably do some stuff w/ them in the afternoon. I’m having dinner w/ my grandma and will probably turn in early. I have to wake up at 4am on Monday to catch my flight back to Champaign. This weekend’s flying by. Pictures to come when I get back.
