Keeping Jesus in Your Bible Studies
I don’t know when it started. Maybe it was last year or the year before but something I’m always trying to do is keep my Bible Studies focused on Jesus. The whole Bible is about Jesus (Lk 24:27) so shouldn’t my Bible Studies be about Jesus?
I was reading through CJ Mahaney’s interviews and I came across an interview with Mark Dever and wrote a nice reminder.
Whether it’s a pastor’s personal reading of Scripture or the weekly preaching of Scripture, we must never lose sight of Calvary. In every sermon there must be some sighting of Calvary.
PMin does a good job of trying to keep his sermons, no matter what the verses, centered on Christ. As my Bible Studies are based on his sermons, I must make the same diligence to keep my Bible Studies centered on Christ.
