Right on Schedule
February 26th, 2009
I’ve suggest many people to make a schedule the past few weeks so I figured I should make one myself. My Lent commitment is to stop browsing non-news sites at work. I also like to add something during Lent. This Lent I will be trying to have a personal evening worship time before bed. I built it into my schedule so we’ll see how it goes.
Some keys to making a good schedule.
- Schedule the big things first. Work, class, church, small group, should go in first so you make sure you have time for them.
- Schedule in other important but more flexible things. Homework times, quiet times, etc.
- Make sure it’s realistic. Make sure you’re getting enough sleep, make sure you have some down time. I scheduled in time to play and time to run errands.
- Check off your schedule. As you go through the day, see where you were able to follow it and where you weren’t. Adjust your schedule as needed. Your schedule should help you, not enslave you.
