Day 5
Athens we woke up late. Took our land excursion at 13:00. We went to the acropolis. Saw the paethenon, the theatre of Dionisus, Mars Hill, and some other small temple. We drove by the temple of Zeus and the original olympic stadium. All the ancient Greek architecture was made of marble. The sites were worn smooth. I want marble in my house.

After the tour we went hunting in the city for gyros. It seemed like we were in the financial district. There weren’t many food places open. We ended up going to this one place and I got some Greek sandwich with spicy salami, cucumber, dried tomatoes, and cheese. Itwas pretty good. Dad got a spicy sausage that was good too. But alas I couldn’t find any gyros. The quest will continue tomorrow.
Later that evening we ate some lamb shank and rossoto. Yummy.
