Day 2
Walked around saint marco. Saw some churches with very intricate stone work. It would cost a fortune to have that done now. Walked around and down some side “streets” the paths are all for people. There arena any cars. You would take a boat to move stuff around or didn’t want to walk.

13:30 we had pizza at a small shop. It was alright. Its all about the cheese they used. Made it taste different. We also had some gelato. It seemed smoother and lighter than American gelato.
14:00. Done with lunch and walking around more. Apparently we walked out of San marco to cannaregio then down to Santa Croce where mom and sis are looking at a Leonardo da Vinci museum.

The residents take motor boats around. In front of the houses people have motor boats instead of cars.
I love all the colors of the buildings. Alot of them had really colorful flowers on the window sills
17:30 were back at the hotel cuz my leg hurts. Hope its nothing serious. Might be from all the walking yesterday and today. We have a really nice view from our window. It is canal facing. Must be an expensive room. Good thing they were free.

19:00 we went to a small restaurant for dinner. I had the spaghetti alla carbonnara which is spaghetti in an egg sauce with bacon. We also had muscles and clams. It was yummy bit small portions. For dessert we had tiramisu and pirofle (creampuff covered in chocolate ) both were quite good.
