Forgetmenot
This year I have the privilege of not only serving with Sunah Suh but also working with her. We spend about 60 hours a week in the same room, whether at work or doing church things. As such, I’ve gotten to know her pretty well and I’ve come to learn one thing, she’s pretty forgetful.
Unfortunately for girls, their pants are constructed in such a way that their pockets are absolutely worthless. They’re more for show than function. Girls need to carry all their stuff in a purse (or clutch if that’s how you roll). Well Sunah refuses to have one (I think she said something about killing me if I bought her one) and so she carries around her keys/wallet/phone by hand. Being forgetful, she’s left them in quite a few places which I will note here for at least my own personal amusement.
The first occurance was this summer. I usually get to work before Sunah but this day, her car was in the lot when I pulled in. I came into the office and all her stuff including her keys were at her desk but she wasn’t. I figured she was in the bathroom or something. Minutes go by and I ask my coworkers if they’ve seen her and no one had yet. I look around our office to see if she’s hiding anywhere but our office is only 3 rooms and there’s not many places she could hide. Eventually she walks is and informs us that she had went to the bathroom and forgot her keys last night. She couldn’t get back in so she walked home.
Another time, she forgot her keys in her apt and was locked out. I receive a phone call in the morning informing me she was still locked out on the second day and ask to get a ride to Barr to pick up a spare key. Last night I get a call from Sunah and again she forgot her keys in the office and needed me to let her back in. She’s forgotten many more things in different places and if every one of them were written down, I suppose that even the whole world would not have room for the books that would be written.
