I’ve spent the past 4 days trying to back up the server we are taking to Kenya. I was trying to use Norton Ghost Suite. I tried creating bootdisks, imaging itself and even setting it up as a client. Nothing would work. I made quite a few coasters along the way to getting a DOS bootCD. I then resorted to using WinPE to make a ghost boot disk. As I was configuring WinPE it hit me. Ghost is a 32bit app and our server’s built on 64bit architecture. DOS won’t boot on 64bit Architecture. Hopefully this WinPE thing works. It’s just a pain to configure – like everything else M$.
2 Days till Kenya! Pray for us! We’re already all mad tired. It’s like intensive training on top of a full time job.
