Challenged
Last night I was talking to someone about Jesus and this guy definately challenged my knowledge of the Scripture. He was pulling verses from all over the place. He’d quote things from Matthew, Hebrews, Romans, Galatians, and all over. I knew where most of the verses or references he was talking about were from but sometimes I was like, “Are you sure it says that?” and had to look up things afterwards. The verses he was using were right but he was taking them out of context and drawing inaccurate conclusions. His theology was definately messed up which stems from his incomplete knowledge of the Bible. He definately would have me confused if I were not able to follow along w/ his reasoning and see the holes in his understanding of the passages by knowing them myself. It challenged me all the more to have a thorough knowledge and comprehension of the Bible.
