Updates
Been awhile since I’ve actually updated. Gonna post a rant from OIL about Missions. Probably be up tomorrow or the day after. My Newsletter’s coming out soon. If you’ve never gotten one and would like to receive an email about my previous semester along with prayer requests, you can leave a comment but make sure it has your name (last name also helps) and you don’t leave it as anonymous or anything – then I wouldn’t know who to send it to.
What made OIL great was seriously this guy:
This guy was one of the main reasons why my spring semester Junior year was so good. Those nights we spent sharing and praying together. We didn’t really make the most out of our semester as roommates and I was totally gonna make it up the following semester but . . . yeah. Seeing him again after a year and praying together at OIL was great. He’s one of those guys that no matter where we are, I know we will always be brothers and will support each other with prayer for at least a day after we share requests.
The rest of OIL was just ok. It had a lot to do with my heart. I came in w/ a lot of baggage and bitterness and it affected my attitude and more importantly my small group. Many of the things they struggled with, I struggled with. Many of the sermons seemed like things I knew already and didn’t seem to get anything new out of them. Signs of an old hard heart. *Sigh* Need a new heart. Preferably before small group officially starts. Gotta start off this semester well.
