If you insist

December 18th, 2006

I don’t like it when people do this (so why are you doing it?). I’m not really a gift person. Receiving gifts is nice but not the best way to my heart. (However I’m a total sap for sentimental gifts (like the small group while elephant gift I stole, or the gift of your time.) But people ask, what should I buy you? So if you want to buy me something, here’s a list. (Note: this isn’t a cry for buy me something. Seriously. My cousin asked me last week so I figured I’d make a list.)

Here we go!

  • Car air freshener – not the hanging kinds. Perferably a jar. My roommate says my car smells. ~$8 or something
  • Car seat covers – or just something to cover the seats of my car. They get really cold in the winter and blazin’ hot in the summer. I dunno how much these cost.
  • Competent to Counsel – by Jay Adams. The “father” of nouthetic counseling. This book started it all. $14.
  • Capo for my guitar. I don’t know how to use one yet but I’d like to learn. ~$20.
  • Wii Nunchucks – if you can find them anywhere, I need two more. $20 each.
  • DVD’s – Gladiator, The Rock, Face Off, Momento – some of my fav’s that I don’t yet own. ~$13 or so.
  • Wii Games. I hear Rayman Raving Rabbits is really fun since we could use more mini games beside Monkey Ball. I wouldn’t mind Madden either. $49.99
  • Creative’s X-Fi XtremeMusic. Need a new soundcard for my computer. This is probably the best bang for your buck concerning Creative’s X-Fi line. ~$110.

So if you wanted to get me something I’d like, you now have your pick. If you’re success layer you can get me what you think I’d like. And if you like me but not enough to buy me a gift, how about support my friends in Thailand on missions or just throw some prayers their way and honestly, I’d rather you do that than get me anything.
