Cute Kids Part 2
We stopped by an orphanage on the way from Tianjin to Beijing. This orphanage takes children who have disabilities and physical deformities. The children are up for adoption and can be sponsored. The money from sponsorship goes to pay for daily costs and surgery to fix whatever deformities the child might have. Most were cleft pallet but we did see children missing limbs and fingers and other aliments. They treat the children well and have about 3 children per nanny so they are personally cared for and watched over.

While we were there, we decided to sponsor a child. We chose Melody.
She’s four months old and suffering from malnutrion and dehydration. She’s also from the same home town as my father.
The kids there are so cute. It was enjoyable playing with them and it’s sad that parents would just dump their kids because a deformity that most times, can be fixed. I plan on sponsoring a child in the future so maybe I’ll go through this orphanage. You can find out more and see pictures of the kids at http://philiphayden.org/. They also have information on adoption and child sponsorship.
