Power of Prayer
I should be posting about my trip but I’m too lazy to edit photos. Instead, I came across this article that you should read: Prayer for Patients. Apparently there was a study done that will soon be released that claims prayer from strangers did not help those sick with a heart disease. The article seems to have a Christian/Conserative slant, featuring many quotes and people against the results of this “study”. What makes this really interesting was that I heard a missionary today talk about the home churches in Northern Africa. They adhere to the church model in Acts and he said that when they pray for healing, it happens and when a friend asked them what they do when it doesn’t happen, they dicussed it and responded “That can happen?” When they pray, people are healed. Hopstials and modern medicine may not be readily availible for them and miracles would glorify God in those places. Study or not, I know our God is able to heal. Whether he does or not, that’s another issue but I know my God is able and he will be glorified.
