Please Pray for Uptown Baptist Church
I went to Uptown Baptist Church two years ago on a missions trip to Inner City Chicago. Recently a CFC – Alumn has gone there and is working with the church. He brought a few people to our OIL Conference and they received many blessings and were pretty on fire and excited going back. Unfortunately, their van was in a serious collision on the way home. Two people were seriously injuried with one in critical condition and the other in a stable condition and four others with minor or moderate injuries. Please pray for this situation and the two people seriously injuried, Anthony and Jeff. Pray for their parents as Jeff’s mom is coming to visit him at the Pittsburg Hospital and Anthony’s parents are not yet Christians. Pray for the situation as this is Uptown’s first time attending OIL and that people would not become bitter or angry and they would not lose the blessings they received from the conference. Another article I found while searching for that one was a story about a church burning in South Side Chicago. We also did missions work in this area during our trip. Please pray that God would continue working in the Inner City Chicago even when things seem grim to us.
