Ping-Pong

April 23rd, 2005

I was going to write about this article. I find this articles hilarious. “In simple terms and sans any military jargon, the [Joint Functional Component Command for Network Warfare] could best be described as the world’s most formidable hacker posse. Ever.” (Well, maybe not as good as the Russians, who say they have the best hackers in the world. In this day and age, if you can intercept or disable another countries communications and command, you’re at a serious advantage for war. You can read the articles and figure it out for yourself.

So we have a ping pong table in our apartment. Don’t ask me how it fits. We have like 3 feet on each end so it’s not the easiest to play on, but we still do cuz it’s fun. I was playing with my roomate for almost 2 hours before this. I showed him how to play asian style (pen-grip) and he really likes it for the strong forehand. It’s hilarious watching him play though b/c he’s all awkward with his backhand or when the ball is played close to his body. My backhand is getting better, I can actually slam with it. I’m also trying to figure out this reverse backhand stroke. It’s weird. You use the OTHER side of the paddle. WEIRD! But it’s fun playing ping-pong. Definately a good break from watching tv/being on my computer.
