ILL! INI!
Oh what a glorious day! And Roger Powell aka The Reverend praising God at the end. Oh how great! Yup, I’ll definately be in late for work on Tuesday. I’ll be doning my Illinois sweatshirt tomorrow. Go Illinois!
Today’s sermon was really good. It was based on the transition of leadership found in Moses to Joshua. You don’t need the gift of leadership to lead. It’s about impacting people and guiding them. The church needs people to set up and lead for it to continue to live. I see this at my school church. We have 3 Pastors leaving in the next two years. We had a huge exodus of leaders in CRH last year and possibly again this year. People need to step up and CFC is pretty good at training leaders. I see this problem here in MD. We need college aged people to setup in our College Group. We need people to step up and help out with our COOP Bible Studies. The Church wants people to step up in the Young Adults. I see it in my home church. We need people to setup and start a college group. We need young adults to setup and transform our English Congregation. People need to step up and not be asked to. Me? I need to set up. I’m grow complancent. I need to be pushed to grow and to keep taking on challenges and increasing my faith. Good Sermon and much needed.
I saw ‘Sin City’ on Saturday. I enjoyed it. It’s definately a movie I could watch over and over again. Look for a rant tomorrow.
