Better than Coke

October 27th, 2004

As of this afternoon, I am 0-7 in Settlers of Catan in the last 24 hrs. We played 2 games Saturday night, neither game I won. I’ve won one game of Settlers my entire career. I finally told myself that I need to learn how to not just play but win. So I installed a 3D software version www.s3dconnector.net and started playing. And well, I still only have 1 win. But it’s cool, with s3d, they have a ladder and keep track of all your stats and such. It’s pretty cool. Hopefully I’ll learn how to win before my ranking hits rock bottom and no one will let me play with them. But yeah, I have more important things to do instead of playing 7 games of Settlers.

Bible Study was ok. I was quite rough around the edges. The transitions could have been better. The flow could have been better with ideas linking better and guiding people better. Time management could have been better as I was pressed for time at the end, ended later than normal, didn’t cover everything I wanted. But I think most people got blessed. I was really convicted as I was sharing at the end and especially about the closing song. I think people who understood the passage and the message it said, got blessed at the end. But it was all God, I felt like I said nothing of much importance. It was the scripture that spoke to them. Next time, I’ll be better prepared for the things that I can control and definately pray more. (I always need to pray more)
