Coyote Ugly

August 8th, 2004

Think of the movie and that was what it like. It was pretty fun, if you’re into girls dancing on the bar. I think I watched ESPNEWS more than I watched them. I saw like the same Yankees clips 5 times. Unlike the movie, it’s not just the bartenders dancing, they invite girls up there. Some of the girls we went with got up there. Quite interesting. And guys have free cover till 10pm. We got there at like 10:05 the lastest. Fortunately the bouncer was nice and we only paid 50% a piece to get in.

Lesson learned: I’m not into bars where you have to go and stay. ie. You’re DD or you paid a cover to get into. If they have entertainment there, it’s not as bad. House parties are much different from bars. Esp. when you have random guys gawking at your friends. That’s disturbing.

One of the guys I went with (I forgot his name when we left but I learned it later that night) came up to me and started talking about the girls on the bar. He said he had fallen in love a few times that night. That was interesting and got me thinking. That wasn’t love. That was lust. But people think like that. They think they’re falling in love with the cute girl on the bar who keeps teasing guys by almost taking off her shirt than putting it back on. That fleeting pleasure is not love. True love is someone dying for you, not giving you a one night stand.

And another thing: There were people there taking pictures of the girls dancing on the bar. I’m not talking camera phone pictures. I’m talking Digital SLRs. Some guy was taking pictures of the aforementioned girl with a digital SLR. Seriously. What are these people thinking? Pictures so they can remember the night of this hedonistic debauchery? Disgusts me. They really needed the prayers. It was quite an experience going there. I don’t think I’ll do it again though.
