Where I have been
Well, if you haven’t noticed, I’m not around. And perhaps you care where I am, that’s why you’re reading this. Well, I’m not in NJ nor am I in Illinois. I am currently situated in Maryland working on a coop. Yep, I’ve got a real job and it ACTUALLY uses stuff I’ve learned in school. Now isn’t that amazing? But yeah, life here in Maryland is alright. The day after I got here, my comp decided to die. I think computers have that affinity for me or something. Fortunately, I was smart this time and got a 3 yr warranty with Dell so they replaced my dead HD. So now I’m online again and I have communication with people. It sucks not having a computer. All I did was watch TV. Now all I do is use my computer or watch tv. I also cook cuz I have to eat. But life here isn’t that easy. The only people I really talk to is the other coop in my office. Don’t really talk to my roommates all too much, and I haven’t made too many friends in the area. Georgetown is much further than I expected, nearly an hour trip and it costs me ~ 8 bucks each time I want to go. Still need to find a local church with a fellowship. It would be good to find some people to hang out with around here.
Summer was loads of fun. I’m glad, since that will probably be my last summer at home. yup, my last summer. Next summers will most likely be spent here in MD working. So I’m glad I had an awesome time with my boys. It was a jam packed summer and I’m glad I didn’t work. I spent my time prepping for Bible Studies, running errands, lounging, and attempting to learn Chinese. I think it was a productive summer, even if I didn’t make any money and just spent it. Some great things of this summer: Laughing all night about Mutumbo, getting back into magic, weddings, just hanging with my boys, helping out with VBS, leading SOAR Bible Studies, bowling. Some bad things: spending money on magic, having my car hit, not seeing any UIUC people, no men’s fellowship, not winning a hand in Texas Holdem. The best closure of the summer had to be Dave’s wedding. It was great. I had a lot of fun. Me and my three left feet had fun dancing. The food was great, the ceremony was good, and it was Dave and Rene. How could it NOT be good? It was alot of fun and really good to see my friends after a week. But now starts the Fall semester, and my first semester working. If you ever want to reach me, you can IM me or hit up my recently acquired cell phone (ask for the number if you don’t have it).
