Recount: NYC
So today I went with Jon Taft/Hsieh and Sam Chen up to NYC. Sam’s never been there and I hardly ever go so Jon showed us around. We hit mad traffic on the way there. Took us exceptionally long to get to Jon’s church where we parked and rode the subway up to Flushing. We ate at this great Chinese buffet. They even had Dim Sum for buffet! They had Shu Mai and Ha-Churm (Shimp wrapped in like a white rice casing or something). It was really good. I would say comparable to Minados in a cost-effective sorta way. It was cheaper, but Minado’s has great sushi. Back to Flushing. We then proceeded on the subway to 5th ave where Jon and I fell asleep on the Subway and Sam wanted to pick pocket me for my digi and take a picture. At 5th we looked at shops and walked down to Rockerfeller but there wasn’t a tree. It was taken down last Tuesday so Sam didn’t get to see it. Then we proceeded to Times Square. We walked around, saw alot of FDNY and NYPD. We visited some shops, like Toy’s R Us and ESPN. Then we went to FAO Shwartz and Central Park. On the way there, this guy bumps into Jon and says Jon made him break his glasses cuz they fell from his hand. He tried to scam some money outta Jon. Whatta character. First off, his glasses must be pretty crappy for them to break while he was holding them in his hand. Why is he even holding his glasses in his hand! We thought of all these fallices with his scam as we walked away. Then we eventually made it back to Jon’s car and drove home and made his mom cook dinner for us. All in all, I had a great time and hope Sam did. We might do Chicago during spring break. We also talked about San Jose. Maybe we’ll get a road trip from San Jose to School sometime. That’d be awesome.
